Hattem Mattar

Bringing Americans and Arabs together with food and fire, The Mattar Farm Kitchen grew out of Hattem Mattar’s childhood love for cooking and barbeque. The UAE’s first pitmaster was introduced to the taste of authentic American brisket at Southside Market & Barbeque in Houston, Texas in 2014 – a moment that would bring a new cuisine to the UAE’s already diverse and flavorful food scene.

Years later, after demand for his brisket in the UAE spiked through word of mouth, Mattar opened his namesake restaurant and the city’s first and only artisan smokehouse in the heart of Dubai, combining traditional American techniques and local Emirati flavors.
